i have the send module and the recipientslist module, but the adresses get cut off after 128 characters, thus giving me the error: Invalid recipient address.

is there a way to get past this?

It's not clear what you mean by the recipientslist module, but it doesn't appear to be working. Send does not provide an interface for multiple users out-of-the-box, so I'm marking this as "by design".
