There has been some discussion about the comma/enter key behavior over here: #1743136: Enter / Comma Key Functionality. The main discussion was about which key should confirm the autocomplete selection. @sepgil agreed to keep the enter key to confirm the selection, but would like to keep the comma key behavior for confirming selection as well. My argument was that the comma key should be taken literally as part of the string so that terms with comma's in them (and new terms that have commas) can be searched/added. The suggestion came up to make the comma key behavior an option on the settings page, which I think is a great idea.

I'm willing to work on a patch for this, but just thought I'd put it up for a quick discussion before moving forward.

I worked on this feature today and pushed it on the drupal repository. It would be cool if some people could test it.
