Since pixture-reloaded 7.3 is still in rc1 and footheme is still not yet available for sub-theming, I just want to know the proper way to do a sub-theme of pixture-reloaded to minimize future problems. Thanks.

Footheme - for Pixture Reloaded it won't matter if you use Footheme 2.x, it's the template structure and instructions to follow that are important since you actually replace a lot of the code in Footheme by copy pasting from PR.

Nevertheless I will release a Footheme 3.x shortly, since this is causing confusion and its not so much work to get it released.
