This is indeed great tool for admins, but I believe it would be even better if it would be possible for users of allowed role to send admin messages. For instance, if allowed authenticated users could send important global messages to all the website community. why limit to admin only?!

Hmm, how do you mean this is not possible know? A message is just an ordinary content type which can have permissions tied to it.
