Perhaps this is far out of scope (in which case please close), but I would find it quite useful to have the option for xhprof and xdebug to be installed in easy local mode (which I use for local development deployments on a VM to be similar to our production environment).

Thanks! Some thoughts:

  • Where does xdebug point? Perhaps a configuration line for this list.
  • Where does xhprof put data, how is it segmented / which xhprof web frontend do you use?

xhprof should be fairly easy to include only on *.dev.*
