This patch adds a couple of options to the Acidfree image block:

  • The ability to display the image not just as thumbnail, but as original or preview
  • The ability to link that image to it's gallery entry

Can be seen in use providing a random image header on every page at http://www.ditchdubbers.co.uk

Not sure if anyone else will ever want to use it, but I needed it for my application so I thought I'd submit it to see if anyone else did!

Inclusion would also save me from having to apply the patch every time I update ;)

This sounds like a great addition...unfortunately for me, the patch is failing. I'm guessing it may be due to the only other patch I applied - the create link patch for friendlier per-user album creation.

While the create link patch might not be universally wanted, your contribution sure seems to make sense for inclusion in the core module. Here's to hoping the author agrees.

Chris - I attempted to try your patch on a fresh copy of acidfree.module from the latest 5.x-1.x-dev code base.

Same error with the patch...reject file attached, if you are interested.

I've downloaded today's dev snapshot and re-rolled my modification and recreated a patch against todays snapshot...

Chirs - this latest patch works great, even with the profile "create link" patch in place.

Here's to hoping it makes it into Vernon's next release...it's a great option to have.
