Wrong Default Image path for image fields in views

Hi there. I am doing some work on a clients site (which I didnt build) which has a default image set for an image cck field for content types. When I create a view and add the image field and select it to display an imagecache preset, when the node doesnt have an image the view will try and load the default image, but it is trying to load the path to the default image within the imagecache preset folder I had selected in the view. For example if I select a 70x70 preset in the view then the default image loads like

/files/imagecache/70x70/sites/default/files/imagefield_default_images/default.jpg
