Release notes

This is version 1.0 of Mail Editor for Drupal 7. It has been tested extensively and is ready for production.

The Token module 7.x-1.1 or later is recommended, as it provides essential assistance for writing templates, but Mail Editor can work without it, too.

Upgrading from Drupal 6

Upgrade to the latest Mail Editor for D6 before upgrading to D7.
Mail Editor converts many of the D6 !variables (that it knows about) to their corresponding D7 [tokens], but it does not know how to convert !variables that are provided by client modules. First class client modules like the Subscriptions module will convert their templates themselves. In any case you need to review every template to make sure that it produces the desired result. Since the D7 Mail Editor supports a richer dynamic text syntax and a larger set of tokens, you may want to have a look at the new default templates that come with the new client module versions, too.
