I got tired of forgetting to set 'access devel information' in my dev sites, and therefore decided to update my configuration to automatically turn on this permission every time I sql-sync to a dev site. The attached patch shows how to do this in an updated version of the post-sql-sync hook example in the examples folder. This could be further refined once #1649598: Bring drush_role into Drush core lands.
