This module doesn't seem to be at all active now, so a request for a D7 version is unlikely to do anything.

Just for the record, in D7 there is a new module Per Page Queue which does a similar thing.
It lets you attach a subqueue to a page (a node with a Path defined). In fact it can include wildcards to match multiple nodes. The nodes in the subqueue can be defined as normal, and the module defines extra blocks which you can place as normal.

There is not (as far as I've seen) any way to create the node or the subqueue automatically when the other is created (unless Rules can do that). But it's a start.
