Difference between "invoices" and "scheduled invoices"

There are actually two content types for invoices
- Invoice
- Scheduled invoice
While "invoice" is the most important content type for creating invoices, "scheduled invoice" is like an invoice template for recurring invoices. You can create a "scheduled invoice" just like a normal "invoice" but you are able to define an interval for the creation.
What happens with the "scheduled invoices"
As soon as a scheduled invoice is in the pipe of creation, a rule creates a normal invoice out of the scheduled invoice (it's ike a dublication). The benefits of this way are
- you get an unique invoice with an unique invoice number
- you can change the scheduled invoice later on wothout changing the already created invoices
