What would be the right way to implement the requirements in the subj.?

Details:
I have a map layer provider based on WMS (MapsServer), that has possibilities to filter data by a cgi parameter.
What I want to achieve is that this cgi parameter is filled from current user custom data field.

I have knowledge in PHP and some rudimentary drupal module writing skills.
