Currently in order to use the Easylinks functionality from within TinyMCE, you need to have the "Administer easylink" permission. Is it possible that you could change this to allow all users, or simply add another permission "Use easylink".

Here's a quick patch that adds a "use easylink" permission and allows anyone with that permission to use the easylink button in TinyMCE. I'll be doing more work on the module over the weekend, so it will get committed soon. Thanks for the feedback.

Permission has been incorporated in the newest dev release.
