Perhaps module would benefit from having the ability to exclude specific fields based upon their DOM ID. This may be views as an alternative way to prevent unwanted validation of optional fields, as has been experienced when using this module in conjunction with the webform module.

Added to latest dev version, but not based on DOM ID, just using a new setting on the component edit form, look for 'Exclude from clientside validation'; Don't forget to clear your cache after updating.

FYI: If you reply on a closed issue, can you re-open it otherwise it doesn't show by default

It's located on the field edit page (content type - manga fields - edit), but you must be using the dev version
