I'm new to this all so i'm not sure if this was intended.
I noticed my views page was a bit messed-up, then i noticed that the defaults.css doesn't have any "clear-block" class in it, so i took this from the garland theme and it worked:

clear: both;
content: ".";
display: block;
height: 0;
visibility: hidden;
}
.clear-block {
display: inline-block;
}
* html .clear-block {
height: 1%;
}
.clear-block {
display: block;
}
