Hi,

I am using drupal 7.12 on xampp server. I am wanting to attach a document to a Book Page. I have followed all the instruction mentioned here: http://drupal.org/documentation/modules/file, but it's not working for a Book content type. I have enabled the file field for book content type but when I attach a document to a book page, it does not show up on the page.

Can anyone please help? Am I missing something?

Sounds like you need to check your "Manage display" under the book content type. This would be done under admin/config/content type and then set your display.

try to check the "Include file in display" checkbox under "Managed Fields" of that content type edit the file field and in the "xyz field settings" filedset it will allow you to show the file link when viewing the content page.
