I am using workflow submit for a Drupal 7 site and have ported it.
This is my first patch, so please be gentle.

Can the 7.x branch be listed on the module page? Super handy module and thanks for porting @ZachS - was just about to write the module and then the port myself. Appreciate it!

Definitely working well on my site too - I'd vote for a 1.0 release of this for D7 if possible!

Just a quick note - looks like this D7 branch doesn't work with Workflow 1.2. The workflow array in the #node changed pretty dramatically and because the workflow 1.x API is so limited, it's hard for supporting modules to keep compatibility.

This functionality has been brought into Workflow Extensions.

This functionality is now incorporated in Workflow 7.x-2.x and in the D8-version.
You do not need Workflow Submit in those versions.
