Cannot enable node_clone 6.x-1.3 with drush

After downloading node_clone with drush via "drush dl node_clone", when I try to enable it with "drush en node_clone", I get the error:

node_clone was not found and will not be enabled. [warning]
There were no extensions that could be enabled. [ok]

If I do "drush up", node_clone shows:

node_clone 6.x-1.3 6.x-1.3 Project has no enabled extensions and
can't be updated

However, I can enable the module in /admin/build/modules. Then, when I run "drush up", I get:

Node clone 6.x-1.3 6.x-1.3 Up to date
