How could I change the "Overlay color" to a background image?

Problem is, if I would do that in the CSS file, then the module will overwrite is anyway because it has this setting here at "admin/config/user-interface/lightbox2" under ADVANCED SETTINGS -> OVERLAY SETTINGS

It would be great if there is some way to disable the module side overlay color assignment.
