Currently when you create a Distance field in Views, the origin must be set statically. It would be great if you could set it to be based on an existing geofield (such as the current node's geofield or the current user's geofield) or based on the browser's HTML5 location.

Marking as fixed. Setting the location via a logged in user's location (set by geofield) has been an option for awhile.
