For various reasons, having the facebook comments appear in the content of the article on one of my sites isn't really satisfactory due to other aspects of the theme. I'd like to take the Facebook comments and insert them into the comments tpl.php file for the theme, but it's not really clear to me how to do this best. Any suggestions?

Create a preset "nameofyourpreset" and try something like this ?

$preset = fb_social_fb_plugin_load("nameofyourpreset");
print fb_social_preset_view($preset);
