I have a Content Type defined for Meetings. On my site there are three types of meetings, general, manager, and project. There is a field in the Meetings content type that indicates what type of meeting and would like to allow users to choose to subscribe to general meetings but not to manager or project meetings.

You'll have to write custom code for that.

It's certainly a valid use case, but it does not have a wide enough appeal to warrant adding to the complexity of Subscriptions.

Thank you for your reply. Do you have a developer document for Subscriptions that would help explain the underlying code?

No, unfortunately I don't. develCuy wrote an add-on module that he commented heavily, that may be the closest you can get.

You may get some help for your use case when #1430446: Additional drupal_alter() calls on hook_subscription implementations is committed.

If your field is a taxonomy they could just subscribe to the categories and not content type.
