Like http://drupal.org/node/652466 on D6 I have the same problem on D7.
Firefox gives slow response message with jquery.

Which version of CKEditor library do you use ? Do you see any errors in Firebug (Firefox add on) console ? Please check in Firebug's net tab if all request are correct.
Which version of Firefox do you use ?
Does others browsers works fine ?
