Difference with Entity Construction Kit (ECK) module [#1359670]

I have found also Entity Construction Kit (ECK) module, that do at first look the same functionality that this module.
What are the difference in this modules? Maybe they duplicate functionality of each other or they have different parts?

Model Entities is not that closely related to ECK (Unless something has changed that I did not noticed). ECK allows you to create and administer an unlimited number of entity types, bundles and entities... This module gives you ONE implemented entity type that you can modify to create your own entities from. So I guess ECK could be thought of as a factory of model entities.
