When you are looking to add a date-based contextual filter in the Views UI, "Created date/month/year/week/year + month" do not show up under a search for the word "date", even though they are date based pieces of data. This appears to be because their title and description does not include the word 'date'. This seems like a pretty common search term and should be added to the descriptions.
For example, for 'Content: Created Month', the description currently reads "In the form of MM (01 - 12)." Changing it to "Date in the form of MM (01 - 12)." would help.

dawehnerSure this makes sense.
What about changing not the title but the description to "the create/update date in the form...". As the search includes the description this would find everything you need.
