Hello. The problem that i am experiencing is that when i display my website with ie 7 the block are getting thiner and the one goes inside the other. The url of the website is http://intermedica.helmsic.gr and http://intermedica.helmsic.gr/current The website is in greek but if you visit with both firefox and ie you will spot the problem in the blocks.

Well i found the solution. I opened the style.css and i changed the sidebar width from 200 to 320 that was the size of the pic that i wanted to put inside the block.

Thats correct. Foliage is a very fixed theme, all areas with fixed width. Maybe less flexible, but easier to design around - and easy to change, as you found out, in style.css.
