I just tried to update to version 7.x-1.6 from Drupal admin (admin/modules/update). The update failed with the error message:

I'm getting this too, but it's not limited to CKEditor or even to one installation of Drupal. Everything I try to install or update does it.

I think it has something to do with the server? All of the sites I tried were on the same server. I tried a different one, and it seems to be able to install, at least.

Hmmm interesting. I don't have another server to try this on. I wonder what can have changed. It's only a few days since I last updated a module with no problems. I'm on Hostgator. Where are your sites hosted?

The server I'm having troubles with is also on Hostgator. I wonder if maybe they changed something?

Also, the server that I'm not having trouble with is on 1and1.

The same problem has been raised here: http://drupal.org/node/1312904

I think this issue belong to the Drupal core project so I'm reassigning it...

I'm having this problem on 7.4, not 7.9, not it's not something solely related to 7.9.

I got on Live Chat with Host Gator attempting to get a fix for this problem, and while attempting to demonstrate the issue with a test account on a throwaway Drupal install to a tech, I discovered that it now appears to be working, on three separate Drupal installs/subdomains. Anybody else having any luck?

Status: Active » Closed (works as designed)

I had a chance today to update a module and it all worked fine. It seems to have been a temporary glitch on Hostgator servers that has since been fixed. So I'm closing this issue.
