After installing, I get the following report on the homepage instead of the slideshow:
Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in andromeda_slideshow_build_type() (line 483 of .../sites/all/modules/andromeda_slideshow/andromeda_slideshow.module).

Make sure you've selected Nivo Slider for the slideshow type. the default one does nothing for now.
