Great module! Really useful.

Issue...I would like to be able to have two menu items that both link to the same path. One would appear for instance in the Primary links for anonymous users and the other would appear in a menu block for authenticated users. Currently when i point the second one at the same path, it does not appear in the menu.

Not sure if this is a limitation of this module or Menus itself.

It's a limitation of the menu itself. You could try to create another menu item with a similir path. e.g. node/4/view and node/5/view/bla should should also work.
