The problem is two fold:
In order to get the copyright notice to show up in this theme you have to ENABLE site name. If not enabled, you get an ugly copyright notice like: Copyright © 2011, <--- nothing after.

I suggest a theme setting for the copyright owner.
I suggest the theme elides the copyright notice if the owner setting is empty.

Great looking theme otherwise.

Thank you for suggestion. I will add a option in theme settings to show / hide copyright text in footer.
This should be done in next release.
