Subscriptions mail sent for unpublished nodes

I would like to use the Save Draft module for my nodes, which allows me to save the node without publishing it.

However, I am finding that the subscriptions mails are being sent when I Save the node as a Draft (unpublished).

Obviously, I don't want the subscription email to be sent until the node status is published.

Does anyone know if there is any fix/work-around for this?
