No way to alter title of form page or text of submit ("send e-mail") button

The contact form has hard-coded text entities which seems to go against the whole ethos of Drupal. There is no way to change the title of the page containing the form from "Contact" and no way to change the text of the form submit button from "Send e-mail". This is compounded by the default settings text which says "You can send a message using the form below", so ideally, the submit button should say "Send message", or the default settings text should say "You can send an e-mail using the form below"
