It seems pointless to have three modules that do very nearly exactly the same thing, so it would make sense for addresses to join forces with Address field, especially since it already has a d7 version out.

AlexisWilke commentedAddresses was for D6. Indeed. The developer(s) of Address field could make use of our files though.
But I wouldn't have the time to help.

naught101 commentedAddress field is already well and truly functional. I was actually thinking that Addresses should be discontinued, and that future effort should be put in to a migration path to Address Field. Obviously that depends on the plan of the Addresses maintainers, and I opened this issue more as a way of opening up discussion about that. I realise that statements like that can be a bit offensive, knowing how much hard work goes into a module like this, please accept it in good faith :)
If Addresses is unlikely to be ported to d7, then at least it would be good to get a notification up on the front page letting people know that Address field exists.
