The documentation says:

6.x-dev uses core content type and cck nodereference fields so you can do "apples to oranges" comparisons.

I don't know where to find the core content type / content type module (if that even exists)

Second, when I use node reference, "noderefence_autocomplete" doesn't come up as an option.

Third... I tried to import smackdown.content.inc as a content type, but it says invalid text.
