Hi,

I have a content type, called "Story" which has one (unlimited) field called "Image".
When I am creating a node (right after I hit "Save" button), I get duplicate entry error message:

User warning: Duplicate entry '15166-0' for key 'PRIMARY' query: INSERT INTO content_field_image (vid, nid, delta, field_image_fid, field_image_list, field_image_data) VALUES (15166, 8898, 0, 32571, 1, 'a:3:{s:11:\"description\";s:0:\"\";s:3:\"alt\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:0:\"\";}') in _db_query() (line 147 of /var/www/.../includes/database.mysqli.inc).

1. CCK Version 6.x-2.9
2. 6.x-3.10
3. Permissions for TMP directory is "drwxrwxrwt".
4. Download method - Public
5. Filed configuration:
- Label: Image
- Widget type: Image
- Permitted upload file extensions: png, gif, jpg, jpeg
- Maximum resolution for Images: 0
- Minimum resolution for Images: 0
- Progress indicator: Bar with progress meter
- Number of values: Unlimited
- List field: Disabled
- Description field: Enabled
- In addition: Image Javascript Crop module enabled (http://drupal.org/project/imagecrop) version 6.x-1.2.

6. Expected results: image has been uploaded and image field doesn't remains empty after saving a node.

7. Image field remains empty after clicking "Save" button (Creating a new node).

8. - Create a simple content type, e.g Story
- Add image field to it.
- Add dummy text to node title, node content.
- Add image file
- Hit "Save".

Thanks,

Any help will be appreciated.

Hm, well obviously if ImageField couldn't save an image it'd be a pretty big problem, but I'm inclined to believe that this is probably caused by another module besides ImageField (otherwise we'd have thousands of reports here). The first thing to try is disabling other modules that affect ImageField or FileField. Or alternatively if you can find a way to reproduce this from a fresh install of Drupal I can try and reproduce it.
