When I list the terms in a vocabulary, eg. http://www.mysite.com/admin/content/taxonomy/1 I get a table with two columns: name and operations. The operations column contains a single operation: Edit.
I think it would be a useful enhancement to add the Delete operation to the operations column. This would mean you could delete a term from the vocabulary without having to edit it first. I find this extra step to delete a term a little annoying and not adding any value.
Another useful feature, would be a column that showed how many nodes were tagged with each term.

marcp commentedIdeally, there would be a hook called that allows other modules to add "per term" items to the Operations list. The Nodeorder project already works around this and would be an early adopter.

dshaw commentedA hook may well be useful. However, the edit and delete operations are both part of taxonomy, so couldn't they be both added to the list? Or am I misunderstanding how the operations are added? Is Edit a default part of something that taxonomy gets for free? If so, should the component for the issue be changed?
