Hi,
I spent more 3 days but I cannot figure it out. Please probably someone can help me - I tried to to browse Drupal forums and knowledge base with no success.

Problem:
I have 2 type of the galleries and images inside them and would like to set specific permissions for using it.

1. Public gallery (shared) - Galleries premade by the admin where the registered users can post their images. With checked "upload to all galleries" permission I can upload via the gallery interface but not via "node/add/public-gallery" link (I dont get there the list of the galleries but the blank dropdown list).

2. User galleries - galeries where the user can upload to and other users may view it. If I check "upload to all gallery permission" then I am also able to upload to galeries of other users (impossible).

AFAIK
- the create permission works only for the link "node/add/content-type" (independent on the "upload to all galleries" permission)
- if I give the users permission "edit any public-gallery" I dont get the list of the galleries in "node/add/public-gallery" but can edit the e.g. the name of the gallery.

I also tried the Content Access module as described in the "HowTo: Create a Shared Gallery" but with no success.

Please does anybody have any idea if it is possible to do something like this and how?

Could you please post which gallery related modules are in use?

Thank you for response.

I am using only the Node gallery module and I also tried with the Content Access to make shared gallery.

Both type of the above mentioned galleries have own content-types and both has set the relationships in Node Gallery module settings.

It would help me to get the gallery list into the Create content at the shared gallery. But maybe I am trying to do impossible?

maybe node privacy byrole module ?

Havent't tried it so I don't know if that is what you're looking for..

edit: I tested it but isn't what you need. Node privacy byrole can only override the create/edit/delete permissions on specific nodes.
