This sounds like a great module, but I can't see my users creating content writing internal-links ...
Integration with editors like fckeditor would help a lot here, so img-src attributes and link-hrefs to drupal-internal addresses are automatically converted ... any plans in such a direction?

This is essentially what this patch does: #148300: [Push #1]: Automatic url conversion to internal links but does not rely upon the editor.
