Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
I have added a link field to a content type and created a node. The field is not showing and I have made sure it is not hidden or it's a permission or anything of the sorts
please provide more info about your Drupal version and the way you gone to activate the link field and to fill it with content and which other modules you are currently using.
Just in case, you are new to Drupal, please make sure that you have understood how to use fields in content types and nodes.
7.x-1.0-alpha3 works here as designed on testing enviroment @ Drupal 7.8
I have Drupal 7.8 and the module is 7.x-1.0-alpha3
I installed the module like any other module. I enabled it and I added a link field to a node type I created. I added content to all the fields of a node and all the fields in that node type show fine except the link field.
I have Drupal 7.8 and the module is 7.x-1.0-alpha3
same set up here. all links show up by default. please provide some info about the detailed set up of link field in your installation, since there are some options which can confuse first, if someone is not really into its behaviour.
I have made that there is no title. I have made the display setting so that it is URL as link I have checked everything and tried every option but I cannot get the link to display. You are welcome to look at my website if you like.
hard to say what causes this in your situation. never heard that a field data row is simply not appearing.
can you still provide more info? what theme do you use? are there any theme overrides at all? any theme functions running? it looks like soemthing picks up the node $content and manipulates some vars before output.
Same here: The link field isn't showing, neither at a view nor at the node display. Its simply not showing, the value is still there when editing.
For my views I have the workaround with override the field output which works perfectly. But I have several pages created with the page manager using fields including the link field and there it stays simply empty.
Setup is: Drupal 7.9 (with installation profile by acquia) and Link 7.x-1.0.
How can I give you more information? What do you need?
maerys, thanks for the link. The source code of that page shows a -div- tagged with "pane-content" class. It seems you use another set up than manage display only, the markup shows that ... please provide more info how it comes to the pane-content wrapper ...
I think it is clear that this is not a link issue and the threadstarter seems also not to be an issue but rather an error caused by wrong settings. So I will close it for now.
If someone arrive here for the same problem, I've seen that there's a problem with Display Suite.
Link field was not showing in my node page when I had a DS layout activated. When I removed that layout in Content Type manage display page, field reappeared. Magic! :)
Drupal version: 7.52
Link module version: 7.x-1.4
Display suite module version: 7.x-2.14

When you reopen the node to edit, is the value (link) still there? -> http://awesomescreenshot.com/02ektex75
just to make sure that there isn't anything more weird going on with db

An Example can be found here: http://kirche20.at/termine/social-media-%E2%80%93-facebook-twitter-blog-... – Under »Weitere Informationen« the link should appear.

iGetcha CreditAttribution: iGetcha commentedMake sure that there is not a custom display checked in Structure -> Content Types -> manage display -> CUSTOM DISPLAY SETTINGS
We had "Full content" checked and it was affecting Link.

dqdthanks iGetcha for helping maerys on this.
