Views block showing related content

I have a content type called Location with a reference field to a content type called Object. I want to create a views block on Location nodes that displays all of the Objects that it is associated with. Am I right in thinking that this is done with contextual filters? This seems like a pretty basic thing to do, but I've been struggling to figure out what I'm missing. Any help is much appreciated.
