I don't want to jump the gun, but the demo for elFinder 2.0 (which is itself still in beta) is up and man it is it awesome! Might be as close to perfection as I could ever desire. So, just wanted to make it known here as well and will post back when it comes out of beta to see what it will take it to get it into the D7 world.

No. 0.7 is a bugfix release. 0.x and 1.x don't support elFinder 2.0.
