I am not sure if this is even possible. I'm having a bit of a problem. I am moving my site to a new drupal CMS and so I need to copy a boatload of content over from the original site. My site is a literary site and so there is a lot of uses of italics and bolds and such. My problem that I am running into is that if I want the italics to show up, I have to select 'full HTML', however if I do this then the line breaks disappear. And if I select 'filtered HTML', the line breaks stay intact but the italics disappear. Is there a way to combine the two so that I can maintain the line breaks and the italics without having to go back and edit each page for one or the other?

Also in both cases, when I paste the text it looks fine when in the editor. Everything is intact. It is only when I save it and view the published form that the changes occur.

Thanks very much for any help.

Hi,
Go to Configuration -> Text formats, then choose "Filtered HTML" and in the bottom in the "Limit allowed HTML tags" tab u will see allowed tags. There u should add all tags that u use in your text - in this case u need e.g. <i> there...

Pls write does it help or not... If not I will try to find another solution for you :)

Greetings
