how am i meant to use this?
i have done a fresh install of this module, have never had any previous versions installed.
i have gone through;
content -> edit
content -> webform
site configuration -> webform settings
i see no settings on how to configure this module.

i'm using Drupal 6.22 with WebForm 6.x-3.11

The module adds an additional setting to webform emails. Create a new email for your webform and you'll be asked to select a "Message type", one of "Always", "Confirmation" or "Conditional".

You first need a webform enabled node and a webform defined for it. As @mattferris correctly stated if you then edit the webform settings you will find an extra entry in the webform email settings.
