I love your theme -- can the Open Public distribution be used for publishing news?

actually yes...but you will have to change the content types :)

http://openpublishapp.com/ is thought for news but our theme is not compatible....

It is a shame the theme is not compatible with OP, as the design is perfect for a news site.

sorry...OpenPublish is Drupal6 - OpenPublic is built on Drupal 7...else it would be not that hard to make it compatible.....

Would it be worth my while to install OpenPublic and your theme with D7, changing the content types to reflect a more "newsy" purpose?

you can use of course the OpenPublic distribution as long as the provided features give you what you are looking for.

You can easily change the content type & views to fit your needs. Check it out at http://op.segments.at/

sure I can...but you just need to download OpenPublic

http://www.openpublicapp.com/sites/default/files/releases/openpublic.bet...

install it, add this theme, activate it and activate the features (demo content, ideation, project mapper) and you're ready -> your website should then look like http://op.segments.at/

It shouldn't take you longer than 10 minutes. If something is wrong tell me and we will try to figure it out.
