Committed, but enabling modules is not enough. Send methods must be activated on admin/config/messaging/settings too. Do we need better docs?

Better docs? Yes! But my vote is that's an issue for another bug. This one's pretty specific and the patch takes care of it. If you'd like to keep this one as "needs work", please specify what you're looking for here. Otherwise, I'd be fine with "fixed."
