I have tried placing the category folder and subfolders in two places on my 5.0 install:

1. sites -> all -> modules \ (other modules are placed here and work fine.)

2. modules \

In both cases, Category and its sub modules do not appear in the list of modules when I click administer -> sitebuilding -> modules.

Your help is appreciated!

Could this be a 'caching' type issue? I re-uploaded the module and was able to install yesterday.

No further problems reported in more than 2 years, so I assume this is fixed. Closing without "Fixed" status due to the time already passed.
