In issue "Location CCK & user location data not being saved" (http://drupal.org/node/1064666) some of us ((comments #28, #29, #31 and #40) have identified that Location CCK is not saving when Locale (in core) is enable. We international people depend on Locale...

I thought this is worth a new issue, to clarify and to ask this to be addressed. I apologize if I'm wrong opening a new issue.

Marking as bug report as it would seem to be one.

You are right to open a new issue as it has been established that #1064666: Location CCK not saving for entities other than nodes is related specifically to using location cck fields on entities other than nodes.

It's not a permanent solution, but it works until a better one is found.

I use location fields with profile 2 but according to rooby in http://drupal.org/node/1064666#comment-4206574
profile 2 should work. I assume I'm one of those who have this problem because locale is enabled.

I believe this should fix the problem. I tested a little and it works.
Can other people confirm it fixes the issue and doesn't cause other problems?

Using Location 7.x-3.x-dev (2011-mars-29) and profile2 7.x-1.0-beta2

The location filed input is not saved on submit in a profile2 field.

(steps to reproduce : add a location field to the main profile, create an user and edit his main profile, the informations you type in as adress, city, etc. are not saved.)

This is only an issue with Profile2 I tested with a standard node it's ok.

The locale issue is fixed and the profile2 issue is a different issue so can you open a new issue for that.
It helps people to find solutions if one issue fixes one problem.
