Port SoundCloud Connect to Drupal 7?

I'm just now looking into this myself. Soundcloud is clearly becoming a depending format for hosting/sharing audio so I think this could be a useful module.

I also suspect Soundcloud will be the upcoming standard for streaming/hosted audio. I say that as a developer and musician.

Does anyone know how involved or long it would take to do this? Definitely would be a valuable component with so many artists/labels/industry using Drupal AND SoundCloud.

This would not be a tremendous difficult task to accomplish. However, lacking the time to do this.

This would seem to make the perfect compliment to the many D7 music/media sites that use SoundCloud. No other developers interested in taking this over?
