There are some scripts in the ~/quickstart/contrib directory that can be used to install Aegir, Apache Solr, Oracle, and Hudson.

I don't support these scripts, but did put them together for my own use, and they worked for me. If you come up with any improvements, please submit a patch.

I'm not sure when the directory changed, but in my Quickstart 1.0 amd64, the scripts mentioned above are located in ~/quickstart/contrib rather than ~/quickstart/etc.

Seems I can find them here:
./quickstart/build/old/contrib/install-solr.sh

but should I use them under /old?

So I think Solr is pre-installed in V2, but I'm still not sure how to start the Solr server, for example.
