I have enabled this theme and put my site of line, but I still can't see the MDC theme in action. I suppose that I don't have to make this theme the default one? That wouldn't make any sense. So what am I missing here?

Some documentation around the theme would be nice.

Yes, I'll complete document in next few days. After enabled theme:
in Drupal 7: you can click to setting and customize
in Drupal 6: Go to site building/themes/configure/md_construction (link: yoursite.com/admin/build/themes/settings/md_construction) and do what you want here

I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but this is how i configured my site to work with this theme:

  1. Download and configure the MD Construction theme, but do not make it the default theme.
  2. Go to http://drupal.org/project/role_theme_switcher and download the Role theme switcher module.
  3. Configure the Role theme switcher module by going to /admin/user/themes
  4. Under Anonymous user, select md_construction
  5. Under Authenticated user, select default

With these settings it will make all Anonymous users see the MD Construction theme and will allow you to continue building your site under your default theme.

*Note that with these settings your site maintenance status must be set to online

Color option did not work on d6.

I had the same problem. I dragged the info.png file from the md_construction/images/green to the md_construction/images to change to the green background.

You can also edit the info.png in a picture editor and change the hue until you find a color that you like then override the default info.png in the md_construction/images folder

How do you get the email collection to work? I see that there is a spot for people to enter their email address, but I do not have that on my front page.
